Toolkit Introduction Community Context Finding Information

A series of Community Matters events have been held by Children’s Links which were aimed specifically for those working within the children’s sector, as a workforce development opportunity and sharing of best practice within the sector.

This Toolkit has been designed as a result of the feedback from a series of event and the resources used throughout the workshops.

Recruitment is often a costly process which can be unexpected and sometimes not budgeted for. The cost to your business, or organisation, is not only financial but often timely as well, so it is important to get it right and to get the best person for the job.

The first step to recruiting successfully should be to have your community needs in mind before you start to think about advertising. To help you with your recruitment strategy, and to enable your community needs to be at the forefront, Children’s Links have designed this useful ‘Community Matters in Recruitment’ Toolkit.

The Toolkit has been designed to enable easy use and access to information, sample forms and useful contacts to help when recruiting new staff or volunteers.

The Toolkit has ten simple steps to guide you through the recruitment process. Use the menu on the left hand side to navigate through the content.
